Jukebox Saturday Night for March 2nd, 2019: Waters of March -OR- This Will Be Edition

I suppose this is an appropriate way to start the first Jukebox Saturday Night edition this March …

"Waters of March" as performed by Jane Monheit from her Come Dream with Me album (2001)

I need not explain Águas de Março / Waters of March -- a basso nova standard and classic by Antônio Carlos Jobim.

*******

Next up, a nice piece by a band I really like …

"Streetcorner Paradise" by Hiroshima from the group's album East (1989)

The group's piece "One Wish" (from their release Another Place) has always been a favorite of mine.

*******

Next up, a piece by a very talented and accomplished smooth jazz trumpeter …

"Everyone But You" by Cindy Bradley from her recent Natural release (2017)

Cindy Bradley's website is here.

*******

And we'll end with something Saturday night old school soul upbeat …

"This Will Be (An Everlasting Love)" by Natalie Cole from her album Inseparable (1975)

Inseparable was not only Natalie Cole's first RIAA gold-certified album but it was also her debut studio album, or so says The Keeper of All Knowledge.

I had wanted to feature this YouTube version taken from a live performance by Ms. Cole on Burt Sugarman's The Midnight Special, but the sound is very low.

We really lost Natalie Cole much too soon.

*******

OK, that's all for now. Please see my previous entries for some political commentary and an update.
