Camp Runamuck Tire Fire Conflagration Reaches News Heights of Billowing Smoke & Chaos; Good Riddance and Don't Let the Door Hit You in Your Ayn Randian, "Makers"-Loving Ass, Paul Ryan

As Charles Pierce would put it, the ongoing conflagration at Camp Runamuck, a.k.a., the Trump White House , has really been raging this week. Put another, more descriptive way, this tire fire is totally out of control.

Although only Thursday and with two days remaining in the week, this week has been among the most lunatic dysfunctional in the whole Trumpian carnival sideshow of the past two years.

To wit …

A partial federal government shutdown is forthcoming -- fanned on by the fearmongering and general racist shit-flinging of Trump's rightwing media / entertainment shock troops, specifically, funding that fucking "Trump Wall" on the U.S. / Mexican border (or rather, slush funding it, since this is Trump we're talking about) … Defense Secretary Mattis is resigning over Trump's abrupt decisions to pull U.S. troops out of Syria and possibly Afghanistan (whatever the merits of such an idea, decided on and executed in characteristic Trump fashion) …

… the Mueller investigation of Trump campaign conspiracy with the Russian government to steal the 2016 election and effectively commit treason against the United States of America is going from slow burn to open conflagration … stock market plummeting 1,500+ points as measured by the DJIA (about 6.3 percent) in four days …

The description from many to include Sen Minority Leader Chuck Schumer is that this is a government of destructive chaos.

It's worth pointing out, though, that this syphilitic madman gets off on all this chaos since it focuses all attention on him -- and that attention is what his narcissistically antisocial personality disordered, ego -- existing somewhere in that reptilian brain of his -- ceaselessly craves.

If there is a partial federal government shutdown of whatever extent or duration during the week of Christmas, it will be because of Trump's tiresome rightwing media / entertainment shock troops and, of course, achieve nothing because the goal isn't really achieving anything -- except to keep The Base ginned up into a state of hysteria while Trump gets everyone to tune into the "cliffhanger" that he "wins."

Put another way, Trump doesn't give a shit about any policy outcome -- to include construction of that fucking wall -- only some reality show "victory" that keeps him in good standing with that fucking Base of his. To be clear, I'm borrowing from Ezra Klein's insights on All In With Chris Hayes earlier tonight, but I totally agree with that analysis.

It's also worth pointing out that in this for-profit rightwing media / entertainment ecosystem, it's all grifting, garbage, and ghoulish goo as needed by sundry pieces of shit such as Laura Ingraham; Rush Limbaugh, a.k.a., the Pigboy; that leathery she-devil Ann Coulter; the deranged Sean Hannity, and Tucker "Racist Shithole" Carlson -- whether they are even aware of it -- to keep their viewers and listeners (i.e., The GOP Base) into a mouth-foaming, white panicked frenzy.

In short, we are a point in which the rightwing entertainment culture is running the presidency with the office itself occupied by a reality show carnival barking clown, and the GOP just a cult consisting of dark money oligarchs and downwardly mobile and/or racially panicked whites living in an epistemically closed Fox News reality. As for the GOP political class, it exists to serve the 0.1%.

I'll wrap up this entry with links to some worthwhile reads:

This is an excellent piece.

On a related note, from Charles Pierce: Paul Ryan's Career Ends as It Was: As Full of Sh*t as a Christmas Goose

OK, that's all for now. We can only handle so much of this ongoing American political shit-show on any given day.
