A Busy Week and Why I Love Karen Carpenter

I had intended to update this blog but I have been quite busy this week, so this is just a quick entry. I'll post a longer one on Thursday or Friday.

########

It has been busy as I have been doing a lot of work for my contracting job.

Of course, even if I get all of my work in on time, I don't know if I will get paid by Jan. 20th -- in time to be late rather than very late -- on my rent. Phew. I don't even care. I'm so tired of this.

If I leave, fine. I leave.

########

Oh, God, I love this woman ...

The great Karen Carpenter ... She looked rather ill here even with all her make-up but her voice was as divine and sublime as ever. She died in early 1983.

And here is the other song by Karen Carpenter that I love ...

This was from 1971. She looked better at that time. Her voice and memory will live forever.

That's all for now. I plan to update this blog on Thursday or Friday.

I loved her too. I had a record album "The Best of the Carpenters" that I played a lot. Listening to her now gives me a big heart ache. Those songs are more melancholy then ever.

Yes, they are. I very much agree with you.
