Busy Week Update: Pictures from My Sunday 2nd Thanksgiving

The following entry features some pictures taken at Gary's delayed Sunday night (Nov. 30th) Thanksgiving ...

Group picture featuring from left to right: Gerry, Gary (the chef), Yours Truly (Regulus), Gloria (who is leaving the U.S. for 18 months on a World Bank extended assignment), Marvin (Gary's landlord and a really nice fellow), Phil, and Stephanie (who is usually the Hostess with the Mostest). The picture was taken by my friend LP.

We missed you, Kristof!

FYI, this is a rare picture on my blog in which I'm actually looking into the camera. Now you know why. I just look nutty head-eye on. Thank you.

Stephanie and me again (Regulus). I was actually trying to do some work during this party on a class project (see below).

I guess for someone who doesn't like his photograph taken, I sure have a lot of pictures of me on my blog.

Yours Truly, Regulus, lounging on a sofa. Oooh, I've gotten heavy.

Last but NEVER, EVER least, my dear friend LP, who has been having some bad back problems lately and may need surgery in two weeks.

This is a very busy week for me and it is reaching its crescendo tomorrow.

At 1PM I have an important meeting to attend downtown for the little consulting company for which I uneasily work involving a nuclear power industry report I'm writing.

Tomorrow night is in my state and local government budgeting class on campus in College Park with my group presenting our final project -- balancing New Jersey's budget and making suggestions for long term reform. The report ended up 70+ pages and the PPT presentation is 60+ slides.

I then have my final presentation in my water resources management class on Monday and (wrapping up my semester) a final exam in there the following Monday -- just hours after the scheduled work holiday party at Maggiano's in D.C.

My plan to return to four days a week - hourly at work is still on target to begin by early January. Of course, this job could just end but that's an entry for another time.

That's all for now. My next planned entry will be Friday or Saturday.

SIXTY slides? To present a 70 page report? Must be some big numbers. Oh, that's right. You are presenting to edumacated people who have attention spans longer than those of a gnat. See, in the REAL America, Powerpoint puts the audience into a coma after Slide 3. That's how creationism got into public school science curricula. James Dobson presented a Powerpoint deck and plied his stooges with donuts. ;-)

Nice pictures

I'm sitting at a coffee place, there's a french guy at the next table and we are both out of cigarettes. This is a tragedy

Kristof: NO CIGARETTES?? Why, that's nothing less than a crime contre l'humanité ... next thing you know, beautiful gay boys bartenders won't earn big tips and gym membership prices will go up even in this economic depression.

Looking 4ward2ur return, baby doll. Flippo says hi. Actually, it was more of a low burble sound.

I kept telling him he's not as unattractive as he seems to think. He didn't want to believe me, so I gave up. **sigh**
