Jukebox Saturday Night for Dec. 10th, 2016: The Simple, Wonderful, and Sweet Edition

Let's start out with a nice smooth jazz piece ...

"Simple Life" by Roberto Vazquez from his Between Two Worlds album (2011)

Roberto Vazquez's website is here.

*******

Next up, one of the greats by one of the greats ...

"What a Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong released on the album of same name (1967)

This song speaks for itself. This particular YouTube video version is fine as it goes, but I would have taken a different approach in the imagery.

*******

Lastly, a great song from the 1970s that sounds as good today as the day it was released ...

"Sweet Talkin' Woman" by Electric Light Orchestra (ELO) from its Out of the Blue album (1977)

This song has great lyrics -- and I love the symphonic pop style of it has been aptly described as "straightforward songwriting, rich vocal arrangements and quasi-orchestral fullness."
Agreed.

This album also features Mr. Blue Sky -- one of my favorites, especially this version and its accompanying psychedelic video.

OK, that's all for now. Please see my previous entry for a brief update.
